Animatic

The animatic was very hard to show what we wanted the film opening to look like, there are many reasons because of this could be the images were not detailed enough, more shots where needed and simply we needed to rethink how we where going to shoot the opening. However because of the difficulties that we faced while doing the animatic, it made us re think that story board, also where we had come up with alternative angles and distance, the animatic shows whether or not the current shots are going to be good or whether the alternative’s will be better. The animatic raised another point that as a group we hadn’t really discussed or thought about, which was the length of each shot. We had decided that the opening title sequence was to be 15 seconds, but apart from that the animatic was mainly used for us to work out what length of shots would be good and where without the audience becoming bored with the opening. The animcatic as a gernal was a very good eye opening into what we have to do to get a good end result from our final production, it also taught us what was bad to do and where we need to correct it when we go out to do it.
